Creative Scrappers Sketch 241

I fell in love with the new BG Fact & Fiction collection and was itching to use it!  So my go to place for a good challenge is Creative ScrappersSo I used the latest sketch and created this fun and whimsical layout!  And it's actually a 12x12, shocking!  It's such a silly picture of me & the brat making funny faces at the Christmas Dinner table, shortly after we got in trouble. LOL.

We have been SMASHing lately the two of us, and she really enjoys it.  I'll have to share some of our pages in another post.  My new years resolution this coming year is to give myself more time to do the things I love to do with the people who mean the most!  I hope everyone has a very happy and safe new years!!!!

Heidi Swapp Memory FIle

I had the opportunity to play with the NEW Heidi Swapp Memory File line!  I have this love for office products, so I'd have to say the whole file folder idea I was all about!

Basically there are a ton of folders, big & small, plus a bunch of other elements to make your folders pop!  Then you create all your separate files and file them in your box!  Each box holds quite a lot of files!

As you can see, they make the perfect little gifts!  Here are some of the files that I made!!

As you can see there are many possibilities!  For those of you who are local, you can see this at The Paper Niche!  All of the products are also in stock now!

Prima Fun

Happy Sunday!  I am sharing with you today a Prima book that I made for a display at the Paper Niche.  I had such a blast playing with all the goodies!  First off the blank album is kind of intimidating due to the fact it's 50 pages!  I quickly starting gluing them all together!

Make sure you click the pictures so it will open them up to their original size and you can see all the lovely stuff!  If you want to see this in person you can stop by the Paper Niche and check it out!!!

More fun with Canvas

This piece is probably my most favorite recent creation :)  This is a mini 6x6 canvas that I made pretty!  I started off  placing some canvas on the canvas to create some dimension.  I used some gel medium mixed with acrylic paint to get texture.  Alcohol inks create such a beautiful color on canvas.  Around the edges I used Craco Crackle paint and then stamped with Staz-on and used twinkling h2os to pain the leaves.  Then I just clustered!  The pearls around her neck are real vintage pearls I took a baby bracelet apart that I purchased thrifting.  I am including some close ups as well so you can see how pretty!

Thanks for stopping by!  I'm really going to try to get back into updating my blog more often!  I really miss sharing my work!  Hope everyone has a great Monday!

Canvas Fun

While helping my dear sweet friend Amy with a project of hers, we both learned some fun techniques.  I translated mine onto a canvas that I made for my daughter.  Lots of gesso, gel medium, sprays, inks, chalks, etc involved.  Not to mention some of the flowers were super ugly!  So much fun!

I love mixing textures in my clustering.  The different types of flowers are a must as well when building your perfect cluster!  I also learned that alcohol inks work awesome on canvas!

Sunshine ATC with Silks Glaze

This is an ATC that I made!  It started as a piece of canvas... which has grown to an obsession with Silks Acrylic Glazes!  If you do not have them, then you should pick up a color and see what I'm talking about.  They go an amazing with a foam brush, you can stencil, paint chipboard, etc.  I used the yellow sunshine glaze on the canvas with a stencil.  It goes on like butter!

These are what I'm talking about!  I'm starting my collection!  Definitely recommend picking some up in you are into Mixed Media or Altered Art.

Next class at the Paper Niche

My next class is next Monday night the 22nd at the Paper Niche!  It's from 6pm-9pm and you will create this beautiful fall album book with lots of room for pictures!  You will learn some neat techniques for distressing chipboard.  The book is full of texture and details :)  I'd love to have you join in!  I'm not sure how many spaces are left, but make sure you sign up!  Hope to see you there!!

Finally got to Scrap!

Well today I finally got to scrap!  I was looking forward to it all week, it has been ages since I've gotten to do anything in my room!  All I wanted was to spend the entire day shut-in my craft room... of course that didn't happen until like 3:30pm, but I did get quite a few things done tonight!

I turned to some of my favorite challenge blogs for inspiration, so first up is this layout I made for a sketch challenge up at Pretty Little Studio :)

I hand cut the fence as well as the hexagons, I totally need a hexagon punch!  I am also using this for My Pink Elephant, I was totally excited to see that they decided to start up again!  It was one of my favorite blogs like 2 years ago :)

Next Up is a Creative Scrappers sketch!  This one was a lot of fun,  the papers and stuff actually came from a kit I got at the Paper Niche at Crop Pink, but I scrap single page 8x8 so I had to re-design it :)

Moving right along :)  I dabbled a bit in Halloween, although I did get Halloween burnt-out designing kits for the Paper Niche... They are almost sold out!  This is for Paper Issues, it's nothing fancy, but I have been trying to figure out how to scrap this picture :)  So win!

I used a DCWV halloween stack from last year and some Jolee's stickers :)  Totally loving it!  I am almost done, I promise, my husband is yelling at me to come to bed! haha!

The next one is for the ScrapRoom blog!  Another Sketch challenge!  This one was fun!  I am very happy with how it came out!

It's so fresh, the stickles haven't even finished drying! :)  Well I hope you all enjoyed my layouts!  I actually have more to share, but I'll save it for later in the week!  Happy Monday!!!!

Just a card...

Everything that I have been working on lately is top secret :)  So I made this card tonight for The Graphic 45 10 minute card challenge, so I figured I'd share it with everyone to let them know that I'm still here :)  I do have some pictures of Julia's 9th birthday party to post as well, but I'll save those for another day :)  I really did make this in under 10 minutes!

Paper Niche July Kit Projects

These are just some of the things I've created using the Paper Niche July Kit!  The kit is packed with loads of yummy papers and embellishments!  The First thing I made was this altered photo frame using the yummy lace that came in the kit.

Here is the next project that I made, it's actually a 12x12 page (go me!) and that's my hubby at Sloppy Joe's in Key West.

The next project I made is a mini notebook.  I used some chipboard and cut it down to 4x6.  Used the very yummy authentique papers and then put the book together with that yummy canvas ribbon.

This is the last project that I did.  Another 12x12 layout of me and my hubby at the southern most point in key west!

Project Life - Week One

My dear and sweet friend Amy and I have decided 1/2 way through the year, we want to start project life!  So here it is for my first week, I started off only with 1 page for the first week seeing that I hadn't saved much from the first week!  So I am looking forward to this project and I hope everyone checks back from time to time to see my progress :)

Paper Niche Design Team & June Projects!

I was blessed to be asked last weekend if I would like to join the Paper Niche design team for the next few months, and of course I said yes!  Then Gine told me that I had to do 12x12 layouts and well, I got over it!  Bea you would be so proud of me!!  So the kit is amazing!  There are so many goodies to create some fantastic projects!  I made 3 projects with the kit, and there was a TON more left to play with!!

Here is the amazing kit!  A bunch of great papers, embellishments, ribbons, chipboard, etc!  Gine has an amazing eye for putting lines together!  The mask was a lot of fun too!  I cut a little bit of mine off and painted it silver on my first layout :)

I had a lot of fun playing with UTEE, paint and embossing powder to alter the chipboard gears.  I love the picture of my dad :)  My parents would of celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary last week on June 9th :(

This one I made a little bit more girly, the kit is very masculine, perfect for creating Father's Day layouts and cards!

And then this is the little box that I altered, for the most part I kept it simple, but you can see how white flowers you can pretty much do anything with as long as you have some inks!!! :)

Also as a reminder that Thursday morning is the LAST day to sign up for my Create Banner class at the Paper Niche on Friday at 5:30 - 8:30.

Basic Grey Mini Album

Hello there!  I'm so terribly sorry that I've totally been out of the blog world lately!  I had a ton of stuff going on that prevented me from doing much of anything crafty!  I did take some time and spend the day at the Paper Niche crafting with a few of my favorite peeps!  I did fall in LOVE with the new Basic Grey What's Up Collection!  I made this mini album out of some chipboard & 6 envelopes!  Each page has a hidden slide out pocket for pictures :)

The collection is just so much fun!  I cut the houses and popped them up out of one of the 12x12 pages.  The little pick flags are awesome!  And you get a ton in the package!

I made the silk flower, I'm thinking that I need to do a tutorial on how to make it... they are super easy to make!

I fell in love with this flower and debated putting it in the book, I kind of just want to look at it :)

I hope you enjoyed it!  I'm also super excited to share that I purchased the Project Life stuff, my blog friend April has inspired me to start one of my own and my dear friend Amy & I are going to do it together!  Super excited about that and can't wait to get started!
