Better late than never...

Don't forget to enter in the Sketches in Thyme open challenge, you can pretty much link up any project that you used a sketch for!  I created this layout based upon a sketch that I made...

Make sure you go and link up because there is an amazing prize up for grabs! I've been having so much fun lately working with all my Webster's Pages I recently acquired!  I got an amazing Groupon deal for $25 I got a $100 worth of product!  I didn't have much Webster's Pages stuff

I'm also using another one of More Paper Than Shoes amazing roses :D  I have another project that I created that I will be sharing soon!

This is a layout that I made for the Nuts About Sketches challenge last week.  I'm not sure where last week went, because apparently I forgot to post both of these challenges!  whoops!  Here's the sketch for this layout!
Well that pretty much sums up last week!  Not sure where it went!  This week is on it's way to being crazy as well!  I had the day off and didn't get to spend anytime in my craftroom.  Being an adult and having to do things like cleaning and laundry are no fun!

Scrap it With a Song & More MPTS amazing Flowers!!

Hello everyone!  I've had so much fun playing with the flowers from More Paper Than Shoes!  This spray was just amazing!  I actually made a 12x12 layout, can you believe it?  haha!  I made this layout kind of double dipping for the challenge this week over at Scrap it With a Song!  The challenge this week is to use Coldplay's "Fix You" as inspiration.  First off it's one of my favorite songs, I love it :D  I feel the song represents the challenges that my husband and I have overcome and are still dealing with just being married, as most of you know it's not easy.  After the week I had this layout could of gone many different ways, but lets go positive :D  Make sure you head over to Scrap it With a Song and get your entry in by the end of the month to win some fabulous goodies!  Also don't forget the DT Call at SIWAS ending Sept 20th.  We are going to pick at least 5 people to join the team!!!  How Fun!!!!

More Paper Than Shoes Guest Designer!

I was so lucky as to be selected to be a guest designer over at More Paper Than Shoes for the month of September.  I received a box full of wonderfulness on Friday night after a long day at work.  The flowers are just amazing.  Her roses are stunning.  I was immediately drawn to this red rose out of all the flowers that I received.  I knew that I wanted to alter a dress form for my first project.

I covered the dress form in vintage dictionary pages and modge podge and created the skirt using Webster's Pages trim I picked up at the Paper Niche.  Anna had sent me the crocheted trim and I had the gray rick-rack in my stash.  I knew I wanted to use the red flower, but it was missing something, so I used a vintage mini cake pan I had snagged from Amy and made a stand for the dress form, which gave me so much more room to embellish :D

I'm totally in awe and love at the same time with her roses, they are just amazing.  I have to make a few layouts as well with some of the flowers, but I have all these ideas for altered goodies instead, maybe only one layout!!  I have so many more goodies that the Amazing Anna sent me from More Paper Than Shoes!

This is the collection that the red & yellow rose came from.  There are a bunch of new collections that are going to be released soon!  You can see them now if you check out and like More Paper Than Shoes on Facebook!!
I'll be creating more fun projects with the rest of my flowers over the next week so make sure you check back to see the rest of her amazing flowers!!!

First Sketch Over at Nuts About Sketches!

Happy Labor Day!  It's reveal day over at Nuts About Sketches!  This is my first week participating and for those of you who haven't been to Nuts About Sketches you should totally go check it out.  The team is compiled of 15 awesome designers and not to mention Shawn's sketches are awesome.  This is my take on the sketch.  I used the new My Mind's Eye 2 6x6 pad and a piece of vintage sheet music.  The one thing I love about scrapping 8x8 is that I can buy a lot of 6x6 pads cheap :D  So I can play with and afford all the new stuff!  So make sure you head on over to Nuts About Sketches and check everyone's work out!  Here is this week's sketch!  I hope everyone has a great Labor Day, I unfortunately am headed to work in a few here!
