Prima Fun

Happy Sunday!  I am sharing with you today a Prima book that I made for a display at the Paper Niche.  I had such a blast playing with all the goodies!  First off the blank album is kind of intimidating due to the fact it's 50 pages!  I quickly starting gluing them all together!

Make sure you click the pictures so it will open them up to their original size and you can see all the lovely stuff!  If you want to see this in person you can stop by the Paper Niche and check it out!!!

More fun with Canvas

This piece is probably my most favorite recent creation :)  This is a mini 6x6 canvas that I made pretty!  I started off  placing some canvas on the canvas to create some dimension.  I used some gel medium mixed with acrylic paint to get texture.  Alcohol inks create such a beautiful color on canvas.  Around the edges I used Craco Crackle paint and then stamped with Staz-on and used twinkling h2os to pain the leaves.  Then I just clustered!  The pearls around her neck are real vintage pearls I took a baby bracelet apart that I purchased thrifting.  I am including some close ups as well so you can see how pretty!

Thanks for stopping by!  I'm really going to try to get back into updating my blog more often!  I really miss sharing my work!  Hope everyone has a great Monday!

Canvas Fun

While helping my dear sweet friend Amy with a project of hers, we both learned some fun techniques.  I translated mine onto a canvas that I made for my daughter.  Lots of gesso, gel medium, sprays, inks, chalks, etc involved.  Not to mention some of the flowers were super ugly!  So much fun!

I love mixing textures in my clustering.  The different types of flowers are a must as well when building your perfect cluster!  I also learned that alcohol inks work awesome on canvas!

Sunshine ATC with Silks Glaze

This is an ATC that I made!  It started as a piece of canvas... which has grown to an obsession with Silks Acrylic Glazes!  If you do not have them, then you should pick up a color and see what I'm talking about.  They go an amazing with a foam brush, you can stencil, paint chipboard, etc.  I used the yellow sunshine glaze on the canvas with a stencil.  It goes on like butter!

These are what I'm talking about!  I'm starting my collection!  Definitely recommend picking some up in you are into Mixed Media or Altered Art.

Next class at the Paper Niche

My next class is next Monday night the 22nd at the Paper Niche!  It's from 6pm-9pm and you will create this beautiful fall album book with lots of room for pictures!  You will learn some neat techniques for distressing chipboard.  The book is full of texture and details :)  I'd love to have you join in!  I'm not sure how many spaces are left, but make sure you sign up!  Hope to see you there!!

Finally got to Scrap!

Well today I finally got to scrap!  I was looking forward to it all week, it has been ages since I've gotten to do anything in my room!  All I wanted was to spend the entire day shut-in my craft room... of course that didn't happen until like 3:30pm, but I did get quite a few things done tonight!

I turned to some of my favorite challenge blogs for inspiration, so first up is this layout I made for a sketch challenge up at Pretty Little Studio :)

I hand cut the fence as well as the hexagons, I totally need a hexagon punch!  I am also using this for My Pink Elephant, I was totally excited to see that they decided to start up again!  It was one of my favorite blogs like 2 years ago :)

Next Up is a Creative Scrappers sketch!  This one was a lot of fun,  the papers and stuff actually came from a kit I got at the Paper Niche at Crop Pink, but I scrap single page 8x8 so I had to re-design it :)

Moving right along :)  I dabbled a bit in Halloween, although I did get Halloween burnt-out designing kits for the Paper Niche... They are almost sold out!  This is for Paper Issues, it's nothing fancy, but I have been trying to figure out how to scrap this picture :)  So win!

I used a DCWV halloween stack from last year and some Jolee's stickers :)  Totally loving it!  I am almost done, I promise, my husband is yelling at me to come to bed! haha!

The next one is for the ScrapRoom blog!  Another Sketch challenge!  This one was fun!  I am very happy with how it came out!

It's so fresh, the stickles haven't even finished drying! :)  Well I hope you all enjoyed my layouts!  I actually have more to share, but I'll save it for later in the week!  Happy Monday!!!!
