Canvas Flower

hello!  i have pink & blue fingers and the vice president of the company coming tomorrow!  eek, but it was totally worth it!  check out how friggin cute this flower turned out.  i made this page for the paper niche's canvas challenge, i used a diecut 12x12 i had laying around because I don't have any masks and i was too lazy to pull the cricut out!  you can't tell that they are apples anyways!  i've been hooked for the past couple of weeks on making my own flowers!  watch out prima!  haha. so i printed the picture out on dark transfer iron on paper and ironed it on to the canvas. I hope everyone is having a great night!!

mini shelf of my favorite girl

Happy Monday Night, thank God it's almost Tuesday!  I wanted to share with everyone this cute little shelf-thingy I made over the weekend.  It's not big at all, if you can tell by the buttons, those are small!  I think it's about 8 inches by 4 inches.  I had the little box thing from some mini tree ornaments i got from paper chase and I bought them JUST for the box and I've had it for 2yrs and finally figured out what I wanted to do with it :D  It's just too sweet!  The mini frame turned out amazing, Melissa Frances vintage embellishments <3.  Instead of painting the wood I used shabby shutter distress ink & tea dye distress ink, then I chalked the edges to add a bit more dimension.  K&Co paper (my fav!).  Enjoy & have a great night!!!

The Whimsy Tree

Thanks to Tammy at the paper niche for letting me test out the new tree album accucut die!  I am totally in LOVE with it!  Look how freaking cute it is!  I used the real wood paper for the tree trunk and then just some basic cardstock, paper, etc to create the different layers.  I'm a big distresser so I distressed it all and glimmermisted the lighter layer.  I'm just super happy with the results.  The flowers for the layout are just a punch and then stiched some jute for the stems & colored the jute with a marker!  How freaking cute is this???

i lOve buttOns! (giveaway!)

i am a huge button fan, to the point where i should of probably named my blog pretty little paper love with buttons.  my selection is getting low and well i need to restock it, so my mom has this HUGE button collection that she's had for over 20yrs and some of them are from the 1950's... so every year when i go to visit i get a gallon size bag full... the only problem is that it's only august and i won't be going up until next spring!  so thankfully she's flying in after labor day and already asked her if she could bring me some!!!  so in celebration of early spring buttons I wanted to give away a bag of buttons, not a zip loc but a fair amount :D So if you'd like some buttons then leave me a comment & I'll draw 2 winners and share some vintage buttons!!!  follow me too if you aren't already!!!  :D

Thoughts 2 Paper Challenge

I created this for the thoughts 2 paper sketch challenge to win a tape gun :D  I used My Mind's Eye Penny Lane paper for the pink background & the other paper is Basic Grey & I cannot remember the line but I picked them up at Scrapbook Depot!!  Anyway I made the brads with my rockin' new I-Top brad-maker!  Fabric works 100x's better than paper I think!  Anyways it is a great prize so enter if you'd like :D  Thoughts 2 Paper

Sunday's Thrifty Creation

I spent the good part of the afternoon going from thrift shop to thrift shop looking for a project.  I found a few!  I finished this one up tonight and I am almost done with the other one, but it's gonna have to wait until after work tomorrow cause I have to go watch "Glades" with my hubby.  Anyways this amazing little find was the ugliest 80's key holder that I had ever seen, I got it for $.49 and then I created this!  It's got hooks on the back to hang it and It'll go great with my green walls in the studio.  I am really loving the crackle paint, I think it's a lot easier than the tim holtz stuff, but that's just me.  It probably takes longer.  Anyways I have a BIG project in the trunk that I got for $3 and it's very UGLY!  I should take before pictures of that before I make it beautiful.  I hope everyone had a great weekend!  Love until the next creation!

Friday's Creation

As I sit here and upload & edit these picutres of what I made this evening, I just realized that infact it is NOT Friday but Saturday... so not that it matters!  I created this tonight from a balsa wood mini dresser that I picked up at JoAnns for $5.  I sanded, sealed, gesso, crackled and then pinked it to get the base color (got all that??) then I used distress inks & chalk to get the brown distressing.  I picked up some purdy K & Company paper for the drawers, stamped some music notes on it for a little extra and then I decopauged it all with some fun vintage stuff from K&Co and The Girl's Paperie that I had.  And of course with the final touches of buttons & bling that I put on everything we have the finished project!  I had a lot of fun making this tonight and it only took me about 3 hours with a break to watch the wicked storm that came through!  I'm happy with it!  Now on to find something to make tomorrow!!

Pink Elephant Challenge

This is the first challenge that I've done for the Pink Elephant and the challenge was to use Card Board or Chipboard, Circles and Journaling.  Card Board is NO PROBLEM for me, I use it all the time, l love the look.  And Circles, well HUGE FAN... so this is my creation.  I cut the large green circle with my circle scissors and then punched out the smaller circles and staggered them around the large circle from behind to give it that whimsy look.  The journal tag I used tim holtz alcohol inks to dye the doily.  I love the page of course, what do you think?

Challenge Monday

I made this made for the paper niche's challenge monday!  the challenge was the spirit of summer,  i am once again totally in love with this page!  that's the last of that blue polka dot paper too :(  i milked 2 packs of it from target i purchased about 6 years ago!  lol.  and of course bo bunny dots too :D UPDATE: I WON!!! :)

Ribbon Flower Love

i took this class at the paper niche just to learn how to make flowers.  with embellishments being so expensive esp. the flowers in upwards of $5 for 2 nice prima flowers I started making my own!  it's so easy and a whole lot of fun!  the album really wasn't my style, but amy totally didn't mind me going off on my own!  i need to figure out what i'm gonna do with the inside of the album.  below are my flowers that well have been growing in my garden.  i've really tried experimenting with a lot of different ideas and technique.  Now i'm on the hunt for pretty ribbons again!

Bo Bunny Love

I am a huge Bo Bunny Fan & I'm really excited about this new line coming out!  It's all my colors as well as my style & I can't wait for it to hit the stores!  I fell in love with the Peacock Lane, but I think this is 100x's better!  I also really excited to see all the new stuff coming from CHA I'm gonna have to start saving my $$ for all the new stuff!

All About me Challenge

I made this layout of a picture of me and my mini-me waiting outside the restaurant for my brother to get there, as always he was late.  it was my 30th birthday, so that's probably most most memorable so far.  I love the picture of the two of us, it speaks alot of our relationship.  Good times.
