Few Challenges (Sketches in Thyme, Studio Challenges, Design Dollies)

I have 2 very different layouts for you tonight!  I usually scrap similar in a night, but not sure what happened tonight. lol.  The first one is the current challenge sketch over at the design dollies, it's the first time playing with them over there! so that's exciting!  here is the sketch:

I want to give a big shout out to Suzy, the Co-Owner of The Paper Variety who sent me the jillibean soup papers & sprouts as a thank you for being on the TPV design team!  So thank you Suzy that was VERY sweet of you!!

For the next challenge it's my first time also playing along with The Studio Challenges.  I scrapped Julia's school picture from this year!  Hey why not :D  Don't you just LOVE school pictures... This one is probably the best out of the previous years! lol!  Cheezy smiles not wanting to show her missing teeth, to cute.  Here is the sketch for the challenge, the extra kicker is that you had to include a ruffle.

I am also entering these into the Open Challenge over at Sketches in Thyme!!  I hope tomorrow I'm more with it, tonight nothing was jiving! lol.  Except my shopping trip to Michaels, they are clearing out their current clear stamps!!  I got about 6 new sets all under $3. whoot!

TPV Who wants to play tic-tac-toe???

Happy hump-day all!  This week's challenge over at The Paper Variety is full of fun, and endless possibilities!  Check it out, let's play some tic-tac-toe!  Pick 3 things in a row & make it awesome :D  I chose to make a tag, in spring colors & I included a bird!  Then I had to figure out what to do with my tag, so I included it in a layout!  Here's the challenge!!

StuckonusSketches & Sketches in Thyme Challenge

 

Happy Friday everyone!  I've had the pleasure to sit & scrap with my bestie today and was able to knock out quite a  few layouts!  The first one is for Stuck On Us Sketches current challenge that was just posted up.  Here is the sketch.  I used Cosmo Cricket's new line to create this.  I also turned it.

Challenge 2:

 For the next sketch challenge over at Sketches in Thyme I created this layout featuring Echo Park paper that I fell in love with!  It's so fun & bright.  The monkey stickers I picked up at Hobby Lobby on my way up here, they are just so FUN!  lol.  I love them.  Here is the sketch for this challenge.  Thanks for stopping by & for all your comments, they make my day!  We are headed home tomorrow, so wish me luck!  16 hours in a car with a 7yr old! hehe!

TPV Jana Eubank Sketch Challenge!

Hello everyone!  It's not my week at The Paper Variety, but this sketch was just too much fun not to participate!!  Jana created this sketch just for TPV.  I drove up to my mom's so I packed the trunk with my scrap stuff & was able to work on the sketch when I got here!  So here is what I did!

I used the new Prima papers and chipboard embellishments to create my version of the sketch!  I kept it simple, yet I think it still works very well.  The prize this week is the following...

An amazing challenge, an amazing prize and I can't wait to see everyone's work!!!  Here is another layout I was playing with last night using a piece of awesome sassafrasslass paper I picked up at Hobby Lobby on the drive up here.  I'm glad that I don't live close to that store, I'd get in TROUBLE. LOL!!!

Scrap it with a Song- New Song!!

Hey everyone!  A few days late!  I've only had internet access through my iphone, and it makes blogger impossible!  Well, I'm finally able to post this week's challenge!  Pop gals this week have Bon Jovi's Have a Nice day & well I made a card!  Pulled out my cuttlebug & everything!!  So make sure you head over to Scrap it With a Song & check out the new songs!!

Another Birdhouse for Mom...

I'm heading up to my Mom's tomorrow and she loves my altered pieces, she usually swipes a few when she's visiting.  So I started making her altered Bird Houses I pick up at Michaels for a few bucks, I think I paid $2 for this one.  Painted it khaki and crackled it with delta crackle & antique white (I love tim, but just regular crackle paint works so much better for me).  I used Crate Paper Recollections scraps I had laying around some vintage buttons, thread and lots of flowers.  The butterfly charms are new from Bo Bunny.  Here are a few more shots of it.

New Challenge at The Paper Variety!

It's that time again! Time for another Paper Variety challenge!  It seems like everyone has been under the weather lately, so with cold/flu season let's make some cards!  Or a layout about being sick, hospital stay or recovery... or you could do something like a did!

A little bucket and card!  This little bucket can hold travel size toiletries to bring someone who is staying in the hospital... I spent a week in the hospital with my mom, and I know how terrible the shampoo & tooth paste is! LOL!  So I thought this would of been perfect, it's BRIGHT & CHEERY and not to mention PRACTICAL :D  and they can reuse it when they are all better to hold all sorts of pretties!

Sketches in Thyme

I've totally loved playing with the new Graphic 45 lines.  The stamps are also fab, I need to pick up the other 2 new sets I don't have.  I created this layout for the sketch challenge over at Sketches in Thyme and found the sketch to be challenging, but in a good way!  Here is the sketch...

Happy Sunday everyone!  Here is a little layout I made with my Pretty Little Studio stash.  I've been itching to place an order, but I'll have to wait until I get home from my Mom's.  The brat & I are heading up to visit her next Saturday... tell me that I'm crazy, going on a 900 mile road trip alone with a 7 year old who doesn't know how to shut up! LOL!  I'll be in VA Beach for a week, I'm taking my scrap stuff with me so hopefully I'll get to get some stuff done while I'm there!  I wanted to personally welcome all my new followers from the Paper Variety Blog Hop!  I'm so excited to have you all here!  I'm going to be putting together some Blog Candy very soon, so keep your eyes open for that!!

Paper Niche Copy Cat - Jenni Bowlin

I was asked by Tammy, the owner of the Paper Niche to create a two page layout with the new Jenni Bowlin arrivals.  When I saw the paper I knew exactly which photos I wanted to use, my parents from 1969 :D  It's for the Copy Cat program, & will be displayed in the store for you to copy if you'd like. Scrap it With a Song - Lucky Star!
